HOME HEARING TEST
DESCRIPTION
Enables the user to conduct a simple home hearing test using just a computer with Stereo headphones and a DVD or CD reader.
There are three basic tests:
- Normal hearing range 300 to 3000 hz.
- Complete range( for younger ears, 20 to 20Khz).
- Incremental amplitude test, reduced by 25 % steps.
OPERATION
Select test: starting tone (frequency is spoken in voice)
For example "400 hz right ear, tone follows for 5 seconds".
then "400 hz left ear", followed by tone in left ear only.
Steps are repeated in 200 hz increments until range limit
is reached.
Click here to listen to a sample taken from the test.
When the test is completed, the software returns to the main menu where the next test can be selected.
The tests are menu driven and require no other inputs except as described.
